Great. Very meaningful sharing re “thoughts triggered.” Wondering how much you influenced each other (e.g., both writing about not liking it when people lie.) Stronger in future = Spell check needed.(eg “lyers” not a word – spell check would have picked that up. In class I mentioned each writing the three most important things. So, I know the exercise is longer and will assume these are the three.

Names: Nicole, Lesley, Stacey
Blog Post Author: Nicole
Summary Part I: What do I do really well?
Stacey is told that she is good at cooking and baking. She has also been told that she has patience with children of all ages and she is known to be a very good listener. Baking is effortless for Stacey; she can do it with eyes closed. She loves playing hairdresser which just adds to her many talents. The kind of situation that makes Stacey feel that natural “wind at her back” is when she achieves a goal that she has set for herself e.g. passing her American drivers test. Stacey’s 3 jobs are a pastry chef, photographer and mechanic. Stacey’s “too bad I can’t get paid for this list… Sewing and interior designing.
Lesley is good at communicating her thoughts and feelings. She is known to be very creative, especially when it comes to fashion. Making friends is effortless for Lesley as well as choosing that perfect outfit for an awesome night out. Lesley’s “wind at her back” feeling comes when she pushes her boundaries not knowing what the outcome would be e.g. leaving home and coming here was a big leap of faith on her part. Lesley’s 3 jobs are Occupational Therapist, window dresser and a fashion consultant. Lesley’s “too bad I can’t get paid for this list… Ballerina and a singer.
I am told that I am a people person. Put me in a room with total strangers and we will all leave their as friends. I’m also good at almost any sporting activity. Swimming and playing hockey is effortless for me. I also love what I do as a Sports Counselor; it just comes naturally to me. My “wind in her back” feeling comes when I’m training for an event and pushing myself further each time e.g. training for a run. My 3 jobs are, Sport Psychologist to Manchester United, being on the support staff of the All Black Rugby team and a physiotherapist. My “too bad I can’t get paid for this list… an elite swimmer or a writer.
Part II: Exploring your Passion
What “triggers” you?
Stacey: Painting, X listening to music (Rock), writing down her feelings, X watching the world news and X seeing people less fortunate than her and how she could possibly help them.
When participating in these activities, her thoughts, emotions and behaviors triggered are as follows. By listening to music I am able to express my thoughts and emotions through the lyrics. Behaviors simulated when watching the world headlines are those of anger and frustration as most disasters going on in the world is created by man. This anger allows to me become more creative with my art works. When I see all the tragedy that surrounds me I am quick to think about ways in which I can improve the situation, turning positive thought into positive action. Even if I can’t physically make a difference, having the empathy for others is definitely a strong personal value for me.
Lesley: X Day dreaming, X reading, going to church, kids in orphanages, X seeing the elderly in hospital.
When I read books about kids being abused my behavior triggered is mainly anger at how any person can harm a child in any shape or form. Day dreaming allows me to create thoughts and images which I use when I am physically putting my ideas together/into action. It saddens me when I see the elderly in hospital all alone not having anyone with them who really cares. This prompted me to do some volunteer work at a local hospital before I left South Africa.
Nicole: X Using race to get ahead, X Hearing about lives lost, X my profession, playing sport, and reading.
When people back home (South Africa) play the race card to get ahead in a job or in a sport, it causes me to act in anger and frustration. I am constantly made aware of lives being lost on the road as well as other disasters as my boyfriend is a paramedic. When he tells me about what he sees it saddens me because most accidents can be prevented. As a counselor I am constantly thinking and processing what my client wants and needs from me. It is through thoughts that I find the best way to resolve my client’s issues.
Building from Passion
List three ways you could create more of this good thing.
Stacey: seeing people less fortunate than her and how she could possibly help them
1. Volunteer with homeless shelters
2. Help people in need find jobs
3. Donating to charities
Lesley: Elderly people in hospital
1. Running their errands
2. Organize events
3. Taking them out
Nicole: Using race to get ahead
1. Educating the youth
2. Posters
3. Having discussions/debates
What products or services would you need to accomplish this?
Stacey: Sponsor’s, charities, professionals willing to donate their time
Lesley: Volunteers, sponsors, transportation
Nicole: Venues, Sponsors and volunteers

Excellent. I can see the effort put into each of your individual exercises, and this is an excellent team summary capturing highlights in three areas (which is what I indicated to do verbally in class). This is an international group. Things ARE going to come up that involve our backgrounds, especially with this exercise. I would encourage you to elaborate on opinions, in a tactful way, that deal with these different backgrounds. For instance, “When people back home (South Africa) play the race card to get ahead in a job or in a sport.” Would everyone understand what this means? Could it be taken badly / personally by some groups? What is a way to communicate your passion, while serving as a “discussion leader” about this issue. For example, “The race relations in my country are still very intense.” This shows your passion, and that you are impacted by it, but you have opened the door for a discussion vs. closing the door.

Good. “Great” or “excellent” would be making sure all your views are represented. Also, run through spell check. Both of the above comments apply to this sentence, below, which is a one-sentence group view (versus showing the work and thoughts of each individual in the group) and something that would not have made it through spell check.
What leisure activities would you put into the “too bad I can’t get paid to do this” category?

Names – Lina, Quessiane and Laura
Blog Author – Laura
Lina says – Through this exercise I’ve learnt the importance of being passionate about your future job and career, and not choosing an education without knowing what you are good at or passionate about.
Writing down your strengths and weaknesses is a good way to find out the education and work that would be good for you.
Something that I’ve learned over the years is the importance of really liking your education and not just choosing something because it sounds fancy or cool. This is the job that you probably are going to work with for the upcoming 20-30 years, so it’s really important that you know what you are getting yourself into.
And who wouldn’t want to have a job that feels like “I’m getting paid for doing my hobby or something that I’m really good at and enjoy doing”.
Laura says- I have discovered from this activity that my interests and passions mainly surround that of politics, current affairs and Britain’s standing in the world today. Writing about my strengths is something I find particularly difficult; however I feel that knowing your strengths is an important aspect in developing a career. This assignment has shown me that I actually have strengths in several areas, including academics, creativity and man management. I believe this will assist me in the future, both when beginning a career and in my general confidence.
Quessiane says-
Part I: What do I do really well?
My family and friends say that I’m really good helping people, making new friends, planning things (anything). The activities that I feel effortless is Organizing things, planning things, being responsible for a project or event. What makes me feel a natural “wind at your back”is when after I get a really hard and challenger work done. For ex. make a presentation of monthly report for the managers responsible for sector business finances. It’s hard because when you are working with numbers you really need to be careful to get everything right and the most important thing is be sure that you know where the numbers comes from. It’s challenger because I need to improve my skills to speak in public.
Jobs that I would love – Finance Analyst; Market Intelligence Analyst; Project Analyst
Jobs that make me think “too bad I can’t get paid to do this” Telemarketing; Attendant/Receptionist; Seller
Part II: Exploring your Passion
What “triggers” me?
1. Being with my Family or friends x
2. work out (run, play soccer, dance class)
3. read/study about business, economy, network x
4. Being helpful x
5. Career
Thoughts Triggered: Family is the most important thing of my life, we love each other and we always cheered for the happiness of each and every goal achieved. I consider myself as a friendly person, I believe that have a lot of friends around is really fun but what is important to know is that we just have one good friend or best friend.
Being helpful is what you are going to learn for your life I believe that is always good giving than receiving.
Business is that I choose for my professional life, I just love it and I’m always looking for new things that I can improve myself as a Business woman for ex. Reading, taking courses or talking to someone who is specialist so I can learn more about business and improve my skills.
Emotions fired up: Being with my family/friends make me feel so happy, we have so many things in common that we can share experiences together and have a fun social life. I like to make new friends you always learn different things with them.
I’m a charismatic, sensitive and caring person and being helpful makes me feel better, I always learn something new and because I had the opportunity to do something for someone.
I like challenges make me feel excited and I like when things drop in my hands when on the first look I think “wow that will be hard to do but I can do it” and Business for me is a challenge profession. Many things as technology changes very fast and we need to prepared to adapt for these changes. Also is not easy when the market is so competitive we need to work hard in “simple” things like generate profits, which are necessary for economic growth, competition, and productivity.
Behaviors stimulated: Active, responsible, communicative, easy going, attitude, helpful, honest, sincere person.
October 20, 2010 at 12:25 pm
Excellent – Quessie, Good – Lina and Laura. Lina and Laura – The sentences ran together a bit for me, and 1. 2. 3. can help with this. Strengthen would be to share some of your answers from the exercise – I can’t tell if you did it or not. Quessie – Excellent. While each group is portraying their responses differently, be sure that you are meeting and synthesizing your answers. This looks like a “cut and paste” job and does not involve teamwork. Also, I can see by the submit date that you could have time to change your answers. When you see that Quessie has shared more, as have other students, that could give you a “hint” that you have not shared enough. Even if you are hesitant about language skills, I need you to try.

So, at our meeting everyone represented his opinion about every question and then we agreed on one.”

1.Names: Danutch, Connie
2.Blog Post Author: Danutch
3.Summary PASSION INVENTORY RESPONSES
At first I must say Connie and I understood that we have to pick top3 of the questions in the assignment sheets in which are impressed us. Our post may be different from the others but we wanted to try our own way, so our top 3 are appeared below.
Top 1 : Thoughts triggered
>>> Connie said, the most part that got her thoughts triggered was that she was going to be less ambiguous. Now when she thinks of an idea, she’s going to start working out on. She’s going to stay away from what ifs. She thinks that most of the time that makes the people miss an opportunity because they think too much about it and some thoughts discouraged them. Moreover she doesn’t like to company with the people who always have negative thinking because she’ll be get depressed. Avoiding ambiguity and people with negative thinking are her thoughts triggered.
>>> The most important thought of me (Danutch) is I just want to do everything that I love and I actually don’t like to work but I know that I have to. I’ve been thinking for a while about putting happiness in my work. Then I got an idea by applying my hobbies and favorites to be a job. Even it seems impossible but I always trust in myself that I can make everything possible if I try hard for that.
Top2 : Emotions fired up
>>> In Connie’s mind, knowing that opportunity is out there that fires up her emotions. It makes her want to work harder, try harder in making her dreams come true. It makes her have more confidence in herself believing that she can make anything happen if she works hard towards anything. Venturing out little bit more may result in something that other hasn’t invented or she would find an opportunity that other hasn’t thought of.
>>> Danutch : I thought the nature always gives me comfort and relaxation. When I get those emotions, I can create many awesome thoughts for example I got my rockstar dream when I was travelling in the small wonderful village. Whenever I get tired I’ll imagine myself working in my own guesthouse then my emotion is going to be burned up again.
Top3 : Behaviors stimulated
>>> Connie’s going to start separating herself from negative people because when they come to doubting her, they aren’t going to be much help to her. They are going to keep on being negative instead of lifting her spirit up. They’re going to put her down. She will start surrounding herself with more positive people. They will support her to go for it, and offer their assistance when she needs.
>>> Danutch : Being an au pair is the first step of mine to catch my dream. When I realized what I really needs to do, I started to plan how can I get closer to my dream. Then I pushed myself into this program because I want to get the experiences and save some money for being a little business owner first. After that when I’ve enough money for a bigger investment, I’ll going to rock my big dream.
October 20, 2010 at 12:29 pm
EXCELLENT! + EXTRA CREDIT. MODEL POST. So far you all the only ones to “catch” the verbal instructions from class which talked about sharing the top 3. The lesson here – which we will discuss in class – is
#1 – Attention to detail.
#2 – Processing VERBAL instructions.
#3 – Leadership – Don’t just follow the assignment blindly…were there any special instructions given in class? (For instance, most groups have not run spell check – something discussed in the first class).
Great and “invested” start (you’re invested in the exercise) “At first I must say Connie and I understood that we have to pick top3 of the questions in the assignment sheets in which are impressed us. Our post may be different from the others but we wanted to try our own way, so our top 3 are appeared below.”

Name of group members: Anna, Karmen, Candice
Blog post author: Candice
Summary of passion inventory responses:
What is passion?? Passion is an intense compelling emotion, enthusiasm or desire towards an idea, object, person or subject. It is what drives us and stirs up the most powerful emotions within us
➢ Anna’s positive passion issue was to be the best that she can be and to always be creative. One of the ways that she thinks she can accomplish this is by not being lazy and starting on things early. If she is not afraid to take action and does not give up but finishes what she sets out to do she is on her way to achieve this. One of the ways that she can do this and help others realize this goal is by having competitions for people to better themselves. Another way is to be on a team to share her creative ideas in marketing, advertising and design. Leading a team or project like this is something she believes will be able to bring her creative ideas and thoughts to reality. Her passion in this area will be able to inspire and encourage others to also be the best in their own lives.
➢ Her negative passion was the issue of “unfairness”. She talked about how some people work so hard and do an important job but don’t get the proper recognition or a fair pay for their hard work. She believes that if these people still continue to work hard and don’t give up then they will still have a positive attitude. She suggested a business plan that could come from this issue was to have a company of lawyers to help these people by way of advise and educating them on what to do get what they deserve.
➢ Karmen’s positive passion is being creative and being able to interact with people. One of the ways that she can create more of this is by finding people in her area who feel the same and being able to share ideas and ask others about their ideas and creative thoughts. She wants to help other people achieve their goals. She came up with the idea of having her own radio show where she can express her thoughts and ideas, interview people who inspire her and talk to motivated people. She will have interaction inside and outside of radio. She wants to be a role model and this will help her strengthen her passion. As a radio host she will focus on advertising and helping others be creative as well. She want to invent what does not exist, come up with ideas, carry them out and make them real.
➢ One of her negative passion issues is people who use drugs. She thinks that education these people on the dangers of drug abuse will be helpful but also keeping them busy and occupied some other way will also be very effective. One the services that she thought would assist these people are a program that provides activities to keep them occupied such as exercise keeping fit. They would also help to find jobs and be a support structure for those who are serious about making a change. People would have a free school to stay and get support, depending on their desire to get ahead. The aim is to focus on improving their lives and less on drugs.
➢ Candice’s positive passion issue is her love for music and dance. To have more of this in her life she suggested listening to the radio or her iPod whenever she can incorporate it in doing something to keep positive and taking a dance course, a class in music appreciation or even just writing songs herself. A business service that she could start is to open up her own dance studio to teach all kinds of dance or to teach people how to play an instrument. This way she can share her passion with others and inspire others to follow their musical dreams.
➢ Her negative passion issue was materialistic superficial people whose only concern are their looks, how much money and possessions they have and themselves. She can counteract this issue by not making things an issue in her life and by educating people on the rest of the world and the poverty of others. A service that she could provide is educational classes to teach especially young people how to be happy with who they are and confident from the inside out. It will also help them realize strengths and abilities. She also wants to create a website that teaches people how to be resourceful with what they have and it’s the people in their lives that’s are more valuable than their possessions. She also suggested starting an organization where people can donate money, time and ideas to a charity fund or helping others less fortunate than themselves. She thinks the more time spent helping others and doing good for someone else the more you will appreciate what you do have and change the way you think while making a positive difference to the lives of others.
•Our passions in life…positive or negative can give ways to ideas and opportunities that create value both in the business field and our personal lives. Sometimes it is the issues closest to our heart that is a start of a dynamic business adventure.
October 20, 2010 at 12:30 pm
Great. You each invested the time in doing this. I think some more “business” type writing will strengthen for the future (#1 ,#2, #3 and bullet points).

1.Names of group members: Alise, Daniela, Veronica
2.Blog post author: Daniela
3.Summary of Passion Inventory responses
Class 02
Daniela says:
For all our group this assignment was a big challenge. Making a conclusion of my passions I found out that my interests hang around learning new languages and traveling. These are the activities that make me feel comfortable and bring me a positive reaction. I am on the way of learning a fourth language, and get excited just to think about learning one more. Being almost two years out of my originally country just makes me feel like discovering more different places, living abroad is being an awesome experience.
On the negative part of my passions in this assignment, I can say that I need to improve skills like
talking in public, which is so hard for me as sharing my ideas with other people too. Politics is a matter
that brings out my negative energies. It is always tough getting in a discussion about it.
In conclusion I think that this paperwork was hard at the beginning when we are exposed to explore
ourselves, but it brought out our real passions, making us believe more on what we really want, and
giving us a cheer up on working harder on our difficulties.
Alise says:
It’s not easy to do self-assessment, especially when I have to discuss it afterwords and listen for opinions. But in a sense it is necessary for me to do so. I am willing to learn to listen, learn to ask. Few days and many I pondered which issue is my passion issue, and I am still thinking about this, I know there are two main issues that trigger me: children and women. I have also discovered that I am very socially oriented person.
As I come from small post Soviet country called Latvia I have observed that right now we are influenced by Western culture and our ‘heritage’ “Soviet union thinking” – in between women are confused about their identity. I have noticed lack of resources that would allow women to view themselves not only as “sexy women” but also as knowledgeable and respected part of society. I have had some discussions with women from US who have lived in Latvia for several years, and they have noticed this as well. Important to mention, that women from all post soviet countries struggle with similar issues.
Never the less I must admit that this homework showed obvious that I want to educate myself more and study specific issues.
Veronica says:
It was not easy to explore myself. At the very beginning the most difficult step was to be objective about myself. I found out that I have lot of personal qualities. To begin with, the way I relate to people. I am courteous and attentive with people around me. I like to provide people with information and experiences and turn them into very teachable moments. Another quality that I have is that I am really organized. I like to have everything around me perfectly organized. On the other hand, I have things to work in to improve myself. I believe that I can reinforce qualities like speaking loudly and clearly, and make a better use of non- verbal communication, i.e., for example, improve my eye contact with people while I’m speaking to them. All these points are related in somehow with my personal business project that is directly involved with tourism. Analyzing things that trigger me in positive or negative passion, I find out that besides my business idea, I would like to become an active member of an animal assisting foundation. I think that it is very important to give something back to our community.

Excellent – Statements like this helped me know you really thought about the exercise individually, and as a group:
“For all our group this assignment was a big challenge.”
“It was not easy to explore myself. At the very beginning the most difficult step was to be objective about myself”
You all followed the verbal instructions of summarizing the top points from the exercise. Breaking it out by name helped with formatting. In future, try to fomat in a more business-like way #1, #2, #3 for an easier read in future.

Assignment:
1. Name of group members: Christina, Thais
2. Blog post author name: Christina
3. Summary Passion Inventory responses
In Class 2 we developed our ideas about our business by using a mind map. It was a very useful way of proceeding to be aware of my own business.
Thinking about whom I am and what I can do makes me feel better. I realized that I am capable of working in a leadership position, because I like to be responsible and active.
We found out that our friends and our family think that we have good qualities which a business person should have, like delivering a speech in front of people, organizing events and making a good research. It is not only important what other people think about us, although they are close relatives, the most important thing is to find out what you can do and what you really want to do. This exercise makes us thinking if it is my way to be in a leadership position or start up my own business and we say “yes”. The fact is that the activities which feel effortless are very similar to what a business person has to do. Nevertheless we should be confident and professional, if we want to be taken seriously. We both like to organize events, write texts, but we also like kids and play with them or teach them. So it seems to be that we can carry out to be successful with having a business and also having a family. We feel the “wind in our back” when we reach our aim successfully or when we work in a team. Furthermore to see a face of satisfaction inspires us to do our job very well.
As we had to answer Part II) we realized that there are a lot of things, activities or people which can stimulate a positive and a negative reaction.
We take the example a family member:
We agree that our family and friends can help us to become successful, because they know us very well and they can push us. We think that we need somebody who gives us the heart to go your way. But we also have to say, that your closest relative could be the reason of our mental locks, because I could happen that they are not convinced of your dreams or ideas.
You should realize what you really need in this moment you have this feeling. Sometimes you can have a positive feeling when you listen to a song but if you are in a negative mood, the same song which awoke a positive feeling, could make you feeling worse.
Passion- If you can make your passion to your job, I think you will be very successful and happy.

Great. I would like more examples of your actual answers, and some clarity around what is “we both” versus “I” – clearly, there are many views on which you will think differently and I need you to develop THOSE skills as well as TEAMWORK skills. I like the thoughts up front and in the middle about the challenges and thought patterns of self-analysis. As mentioned with many other groups, more business-like formatting will not only help you in business, it will help me read it! #1, #2,#3, a,b,c etc.

What do your friends & family say you are really good at doing?
The things Bogdana’s friends and family say she is really good at are cooking, writing stories, time-planning and designing interiors.
In the case of Sinam, she is considered as really good at listening to other people, also in being open minded and giving advices and finally in working with children.
Finally, Jennifer was considered by their family and friends as really good at studying, dancing, making friends and keeping them and being responsible with commitments.
What kinds of activities feel effortless?
Sinam considers that she just cannot wake up early even putting a lot of effort.
Bogdana says she cannot nor dance nor do sports.
Jennifer considers that the things she feels effortless at are to allow herself to make mistakes and in being disciplined in working out.
Describe the kind of situation that makes
you feel a natural “wind at your back”
Bogdana and Sinam feel a wind at their backs when they are taking care of children, they feel is natural for them and they feel very comfortable at doing it.
Jennifer feels a wind at her back when she is making presentations to people, especially when she know about the topic she’s talking about and when she is preparing and organizing things, for example, an event.
Name three jobs that you look at and say: “I would love to do that.”
Bogdana would love to be an Ambassador, writer, and Travel Agent.
Sinam would love to be an educator, a teacher or a manager.
Finally Jennifer would love to work as a journalist for this TV shows and documentaries in travel and living channel, also working for a company in the fashion world and finally being a doctor.
What leisure activities would you put into the “too bad I can’t get paid to do this” category?
Bogdana considers a really really good leisure activity to go around the world in a cruise, also to go on an air hot balloon and helicopter trip, and to have a vacation on a lonely island from time to time.
Sinam also considers really good to travel and she would love to be paid for it, also to go shopping every day.
Jennifer would love to be paid for dancing, watching TV, especially TV series and going out to tasty restaurants.
List five issues or activities that stimulate a deep positive or negative reaction.
Bogdana listed the following activities as positively stimulating: true stories of people`s success, It makes her think that if they were able to do this, she could achieve her goals too, also visiting new places and meeting new people, maybe representatives of different nationalities, it makes her really happy and eager to explore the world around her more and more and realize that the world has so much to offer.
Sinam also listed the following activities as positively stimulating: making family trips, spending time with her friends and doing sports.
Jennifer listed the following activities as positively stimulating: Her true friends and spending time with them, spending time with her mom and dad and the feeling of being learning important things.
Regarding the negatively stimulating issues, Bogdana mentioned those times when people deliberately lies to her when she knows the truth, also people crying over their hard life without making any tiny effort to make it better, finally, people trying to persuade her that she can never succeed in something, that she can never achieve what she dreams about.
Sinam considered as negatively stimulating
when she faces arguments, to realize of bad things, things like tragedies on the news or the radio.
Jennifer, finally said that it was negatively stimulating for her when people acts selfishly and not thinking about consequences of what they do, thinking just about their own benefits, also when people politically supports someone just because of an image and blindly believe and stand for people who doesn’t really deserves it, and the practice of Bullfighting.
Bogdana, Sinam and Jennifer chose from the above mentioned issues, three of them, either positive or negative and explained why those issues charged them up, what thoughts they triggered, which emotions they fired up and what behavior they stimulated in themselves, discussed and explained all of them and finally each one chose one positive and one negative issue.
Bogdana’s choice was an activity that deeply stimulated a negative reaction in her, it is when people tries to persuade her that she can never succeed in something, that she can never achieve what she dreams about. The thoughts it triggers is that they can be right, but they don`t have to tell her that. They kill any desire in her to do anything. They kill her faith and hope. The emotions it fires up are that she feels really upset and angry both at people who discourage her and at her who get discouraged. Finally, the behavior it stimulated is to have a wish to prove that people are wrong, that she can do more
Sinam’s choice was to do sports as the activity that most deeply stimulates a positive reaction in her. This because it triggers in her a healthy lifestyle, a disciplined way of organizing her life, it fires up in her the emotion of feeling alive, of feeling positive and dynamic, and finally it stimulates the behavior of being constant, disciplined and the dynamism it gives her its transmitted in every aspect of her life.
Jennifer also chose an activity that deeply and positively stimulates a reaction in her, and it is the feeling of being learning important things. . The thoughts it triggers in her is related with the importance she gives to her personal and professional growth, as she understands that in a competitive world like the one we are living in, knowledge is the biggest competitive advantage you can acquire. The emotions it fires up in her are: success, motivation, joy, it fills her up of good expectations, makes her feel her future will be good. And finally the behavior it stimulates is to appreciate every moment she has in the learning process to make it as successful as it is possible, this is to be responsible with homework, to pay attention to the class, to interact as much as possible but also as cleverly as possible, among others.
List three ways you could create more of this good thing.
The way Bogdana thinks she could counteract the negative nature of the issue of is to use all of her strength, wisdom, knowledge, and take advantage of the opportunities to achieve something people think she cannot normally achieve. Also, by stop communicating with people who do not believe in her and find encouragement everywhere: in other people, stories of success. Finally, to develop her personality, raise her self-esteem, become more persistent in her dreams.
The way Sinam thinks she can create more of the good thing she chose which is doing sports is by doing sports together with friends, make variations in the kind of sports she practices so she doesn’t feel monotonous, and also to mix sports with spa treatments, skin, hair and everything concerning to make her body healthy and beautiful.
Also, the way Jennifer thinks she can create more of the good thing she chose which is to be in important and rewarding learning activities, is to when she has the chance to be enrolled in a course of activity she considers as really important for her learning process, to try to be responsible, diligent and pay attention to every moment of it so she learns the most. Also, to look for more opportunities of finding learning activities such as making contact with the teachers, classmates and show herself always very interested in these kind of opportunities. Finally, by exploiting the useful resources she has access to such as the internet, in which very easily you find a lot of things to learn.
What products or services would you need to accomplish this?
Bogdana thinks that she would need all kinds of encouraging literature. To be surrounded by people who share similar goals, thoughts, attitudes, ideas with her. Also, to get some psychological advice.
Sinam considers she needs to have a gym or a tennis club, a soccer place, also other people with whom she can do it, a spa and obviously the money.
Jennifer considers that the most important thing she needs is the eager to accomplish what she wants. Sometimes the internet and the access to databases to find educational opportunities. Also, the money and the places offering education.
Creating Value through passion: “You are here. You are given all the means to be what you want to be. It`s up to you whether to give up or to succeed, whether to be strong or weak. You are the one to decide what kind of life to lead.”

1.) Names of group members: Jani, Franzi, Jessy
2.) Blog post author name: Jessy
3.) Summary Passion Inventory responses
PART 1
What do I do really well?
Jani:
She is a very communicative, helpful, socially and friendly person who approaches people openly and enjoys getting in touch with other human beings as you can see at her free time activities. Jani is interested in sports, communication and teaching. In the gym Jani is kind of a personal trainer. She also likes fashion and enjoys dressing up herself or even other people.
Franzi:
She is interested in athletics, takes part of competition, likes to train children and explain them the exercises. In Germany she helps to organise music concerts for her area. That’s how she found out a special skill of herself: Franzi is pretty good in managing and organizing, events in particular.
Jessy:
I’m very interested in aviation in general. I have a gliding license and I take part of many competitions in Germany. I have a distinctive sense of responsibility. I feel comfortable with managing because I’m a very poised and confident person.
PART 2
Explaining your passion
Jani:
For her, religion is very important. It’s the care of everything she is. She has a lot of compassion for people and knows that she wants to be involved in charities/ non-profit organisations in the future. She also likes feeling and looking good and healthy. Being “put together” and fit is part of her personality.
Franzi:
Music festivals are very important for her because she likes music a lot and you can meet many new people. Nobody is in a bad mood and you have a lot of fun because you may meet band members backstage and live music is animated.
Jessy:
I really enjoy gliding and I do a lot in the field of activity. It’s a unique feeling to fly all by yourself. The world and its problems seem to be so small.
PART 3
Building from passion
Jani:
Asking her about a negative passion and she would reply it is poverty. To reduce poverty you should create awareness, employment opportunities/ education and raise money, so Jani.
Franzi:
Her negative passion is cruelty to animals. She is involved in animal protection and enlightened in how nowadays in a world of excess and waste animals are treated. If everybody would reduce their consume of meat, the animals could live a dignified life. That’s the reason why she is vegetarian.
Jessy:
A very significant experience was living in Auschwitz for a big project. I studied a lot in the archive data backup about the KZ-leadership. It was shocking but I think it’s a pretty good and important thing. Education should help to avoid such criminals so my school present this project in cities which have to deal with racism etc.

Passion Inventory responses
The second class was one more tool for us to think about how we are going to plan our own business by using a map mind, where we all put our passions and dreams.
By memories of what our friends and loved ones have been telling us, we are all good with hand work, like cooking, crafts, baking and photography. We all share the need to learn more and more and being in an internship just make it easier, because there is the opportunity to meet people from different cultures. We are all known as good listeners and the ones whom don’t think much to help others in need and by helping others we can feel good with ourselves.
When it comes to the professional life, our interesting does not match. While talking about it Clara seemed interested in being pediatrician or designer and architect; Ana Carolina seemed interested in Hair stylist, a psychologist or a baker and about myself I feel interested about Archaeology, consulting for other companies or international business. It’s possible to see by the descriptions no one can see to get paid by falling in love, being a personal shopper or being a driver.
While talking about what triggers everybody, we agreed that learning about new cultures and ways people have to live are fascinating; talking to people who have passion for what they chose to do in life is great, traveling is another thing we are all interested about and family is very important to all of us.
Anna Carolina is always trigged about any kind of spiritual mystery, because she came from a spiritualized family which influenced her with that. Clara is trigged about designer and she thinks with that people can communicate and manifest their feelings through it. And I’m always trigged about new ways I can learn and where my curiosity can be stimulated.
When we were trying to get it all together, we are all looking for something about us, we still don’t know and our emotions were fired up when you realized that we are concerned about other people too and that has a lot to do with what we are going to be in the future. We all like arts, we all like to learn from different cultures, different ways and our curiosity is even shaper when we can learn something from the people who are around us. We are givers, but we also like the sharing, the new ways we can see a problem and find the solution. We all try our best when we decide to do something, even when there is someone saying that what we are planning is something impossible. We are stimulated by other people’s experience and we believe that it’s from there we can find the way for our rock star dream.

Great. I think you all did a GREAT job of showing “here is where we believe the same thing” and “here is where we are different. This was a great start, “The second class was one more tool for us to think about how we are going to plan our own business by using a map mind, where we all put our passions and dreams.” It shows you are THINKING about what you are learning. Nice work. Try more business formatting in future #1, #2, #3 a b c.
